Her Music is a Reflection of Her Heart

More than just being a spectacular music artist, songwriter and performer, Hannah McNeil is a remarkable human being. Her music is simply an outpouring of her positive beliefs and values.

Hannah has a strong, anthemic voice, like a pleasant, earthy combination of Kelly Clarkson and JoDee Messina. She has energy, passion and authenticity on stage and has performed for crowds of over 150,000 people while touring arenas and at state fairs. She is confident and has a huge stage presence, and overflows with wisdom and advice like a motivational speaker at times in between her songs. She fills her audiences with hope, goodness, healing, and just good, clean, energetic fun. She isn’t afraid to laugh at herself, either, which draws people to her even more.

Her core values have instilled in her as the 9th of 10 children in her family, growing up in Nebraska. Hannah “found her voice” there in a literal way by singing right on key at a very young age, but also in a much different way by her family’s activism in their community.

Her parents, Richard and Sharon McNeil, founded a homeless shelter in Omaha that is still actively helping people today. Richard and Sharon’s kindness and generosity taught Hannah the beautifulness in giving back to people and community. They taught her how to radiate good and love and peace and hope. They taught her to expect the best from others without judgment and with acceptance, humility, and compassion. This environment of giving is where Hannah got her values, and this theme of “being light and love” is what you will hear reflected in her heart when she speaks, and what you will hear reflected throughout her music when she sings.

Now residing in Nashville, TN, Hannah has a local and international presence. She performs local shows at places like the iconic Bluebird Café and the popular 3rd and Lindsley Bar and Listening Room Café. She has also performed overseas, where her first single as an independent artist, “What Am I Getting Up For,” was #1 in Ireland, Norway, and Switzerland, #3 in Germany, #11 on the overall European chart (ECMA), and #41 on the US Billboard Chart. Getting to these levels as an independent artist is rare and is a testament to Hannah’s work ethic and the quality of her music.

Hannah has a community of award-winning co-writers who stand with her, including Jeffrey Steele, who is in the Songwriting Hall of Fame and has song credits too numerous to list but include Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, and Montgomery Gentry. Hannah has fans everywhere she goes, who are faithful, long-time advocates for her music. Once enlightened by Hannah’s music, most people eagerly await the next album with anticipation and listen to Hannah’s existing classics over and over again.

Hannah is truly more than just an artist. Her artistry in her songwriting, vocals, and performance is merely a well-crafted and well-loved extension of her very positive and loving, authentic self.
